Joint Job Evaluation

Share feedback on your job through the Joint Job Evaluation Plan

What is the Joint Job Evaluation Plan?

The Joint Job Evaluation (JJE) Plan determines the minimum qualifications and evaluates the skill, effort, responsibility and working conditions for each of the more than 300 health provider jobs covered by SGEU, SEIU-West and CUPE's collective agreements with SAHO.

Using the principles of Equal Pay for Work of Equal Value and Pay Equity, the JJE Plan is designed to eliminate inequity and gender bias in jobs across the health sector. The sustainable JJE Plan was agreed to SGEU, SEIU-West, CUPE and the employer group Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations (SAHO) during health sector collective bargaining in 1998-99.

A JJE is a key opportunity for you to share feedback and information about your position to be considered in job description updates.

What is a Provincial Review?

A Provincial Review is an opportunity for employees and the Out-of-Scope (OOS) Supervisor to put forward information on whether and how the job description has changed since it was implemented or last reviewed. Each year, the JJE Maintenance Committee (JJEMC) endeavours to conduct a Provincial Review of 20-25 per cent of all jobs.
