Six (6) $1,000 bursaries for the 2025/2026 academic year for students enrolled in full-time studies at any recognized university, college, trade school, or any course that leads to a degree, diploma, or certificate. A full-time student is defined as taking a minimum of three (3) classes during each semester of any course/institute.
-
One (1) $300 bursary for a student enrolled in part-time studies.
-
One (1) $500 bursary for a first-season employee who is not the child of a current member.
To qualify for either the full-time or part-time bursaries, applicants must be an SGEU Local 1121 member in good standing who has paid dues to Local 1121 for a minimum of twelve (12) months of work prior to the date of application, or be the spouse/dependent of such a member, or the spouse/dependent of a retired or deceased SGEU Local 1121 member.
