Local 1105 Scholarships
Local 1105 has two scholarships of $750 each. These scholarships are open to all SGEU Local 1105 members, their spouses, dependants or the dependant's legal guardian, that are enrolled in full- or part-time studies in a recognized educational institution. The scholarships will be given to the successful applicants who obtain the highest points as follows:

Five points will be awarded for an essay of approximately 1,000 words which best describes that reason for the start of unions and some notable accomplishments of unions. The student must express their views of where labour can best aid its members as well as society.

Two points will be awarded for an essay of 300 words which describes what the member, spouse, parent or guardian does in their occupation as a unionized member of SGEU.

Five points will be awarded for an essay on the student's future goals.

Three points will be awarded to the student attaining the highest marks.

- Submit your three essays.
- Upload your transcript.
- Upload confirmation of enrolment at an education institution.
