Public Service Sector Ratifies Deal

The Saskatchewan Government and General Employees Union announced today the successful ratification of a deal between its Public Service Sector and the government.

The tentative agreement, announced last month included wage increases of 1.5%, 2%, and 2% along with employment security.

With the public service a target of this government, SGEU’s top priority was to keep its members working. “This deal ensures that the skills and experience of the public service continue to provide good services at a good value in the coming years.” said  President Bob Bymoen.

SGEU’s Public Service Sector represents more than 10,000 members across the province.
