Hundreds of members, delegates and guests will be gathering at the Exhibition Centre in Prince Albert from April 26 - 28 for SGEU’s annual Convention.
"Convention is always an exciting event that gives us a chance to network with other bargaining units, approve budgets, debate resolutions, and set the direction for the next year," said SGEU President Bob Bymoen.
"We are looking forward to enjoying each other’s company and the Northern Prairie hospitality," added Bymoen.
This year’s guest speakers include Dr. Perry Sirota, Clinical and Forensic Psychologist and Management Consultant; Donna Bowyer, Friends For Life Director at the Canadian Mental Health Association; and Deborah Howes, Chartered Arbitrator and Chartered Mediator from the Foundation of Administrative Justice.
Nominations and elections for the position of President, SFL Vice-President, NUPGE Vice-President, and three Board of Trustees positions will be held on the last day of Convention.
Doors will be open to the media on Thursday April 26 from 9 a.m. - 10:15 a.m and on Saturday April 28 from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m.
