Get Active

SGEU members have the most important role in our Union.

Every   day, members    throughout Saskatchewan work together through SGEU to achieve better outcomes for union members.

SGEU members work collectively to achieve improvements to working conditions and on issues which affect our lives both at work and in our community.

There are many opportunities for members to get more active in SGEU by taking on one of the following formal roles:

  •  Steward
  •  Chief steward
  •  Branch, local or sector executive member
  •  Bargaining committee representative
  •  Union\management committees or other joint efforts
  •  Occupational Health and safety representative
  • SGEU Standing Committee members

SGEU members are also encouraged to get involved in local workplace campaigns, sector-wide campaigns and union-wide campaigns. The success of any campaign is dependent on the level of active and informed members, so get active today! Click here to find out more about current SGEU campaigns.
